A professional and career milestone was celebrated by many as the Lee College of Engineering once again hosted the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors’ annual Certificate Ceremony. The Licensing Board recognized 20 Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors at the January 28 event. Dr. Bob Johnson, Dean, welcomed those in attendance, followed by the event’s keynote speaker, Dr. John Daniels, PE, Chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UNC Charlotte. Dr. Daniels gave an inspiring talk to the new licensees about their responsibility to safeguard the life, health, property and welfare of the public and to establish and maintain a high standard of integrity, skills, and practice in the professions.  The event closed with Andrew Ritter, Executive Director for the NC Board of Examiners, handing out certificates to the honorees. Congratulations to all those who have achieved their industry’s highest honor.
