Professional Engineers of North Carolina (PENC) and the Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC) will host the first NC Coal Ash Forum on Thursday, December 4, 2014. The forum will begin at 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at EPIC. John L. Daniels, P.E. who is Chair of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UNC Charlotte will be the featured speaker.
The NC Coal Ash Forum seeks to bring together all stakeholders involved in coal ash management in NC to discuss constructive solutions that are environmentally sensitive and economically viable. While this educational forum is more focused on the technical aspects of coal ash clean up and beneficial reuse that contractors and engineers are addressing, anyone interested in a solution focused approach to this issue will find value in the information that will be presented at this forum.
