  1. Call for COEN Scholarship Applications

Application Deadline:  April 15, 2014 by 5:00 p.m.

For the upcoming academic year 2014/2015, the Lee College of Engineering is pleased to announce that there will be a call for a limited number of undergraduate scholarships. This opportunity is for currently enrolled engineering students who have completed at least one semester at UNC Charlotte and have established a GPA.  Students do not apply for any one specific scholarship.  Once your application is submitted eligibility is verified and then the scholarship committee determines if you meet the criteria for the scholarships that are available to award.

How do I apply?  Complete and sign the application that will be available on February 15, 2014 at the following link: Scholarship Application.  Along with the application be prepared to include:

  • A one to two page typed essay describing your aspirations of becoming an engineer, career interests and why you should be awarded a scholarship (single spaced, font - Calibri, size12)
  • A typed draft letter of thanks to the scholarship committee (using a standard letter business format).  This will be used to determine articulation of appreciation for a scholarship award and your ability to format a business letter.   If you are chosen for a scholarship award you will be asked to write another letter of thanks specific to the donor of your scholarship.
  • An up-to-date resume

Hand deliver complete package to Smith 228 (no electronic submissions).  Please note - unsigned applications, hand written applications, and late submissions will not be accepted.

Award notifications will be sent directly to you through your UNC Charlotte email address by June 15, 2014. For additional information please visit: COEN Undergraduate Scholarship Opportunities or contact Lee Ann Parker by email at L.Parker@uncc.edu
